Varda R. Mann-Feder is a Professor of Applied Human Sciences at Concordia University and former Department Chair, known for her research and publications on aging out of care and her advocacy on behalf of youth in placement. She served as Vice President of the Child and Youth Care Accreditation Council of Canada and as the editor of the Journal of Child and Youth Care Work from 2000 to 2006. She worked as a consulting psychologist in the child welfare system in Montreal for 30 years and was the founding Program Director for the Graduate Diploma in Youth Work at Concordia, where she currently teaches.
